BASIC TUITION
The basic tuition (bt) is open to players of all ages and standards. It will be given in small groups and private lessons.

The masterclasses (mc) are intended primarily for professionals or music students and will mostly be group tuition. The teaching will as a rule be in English.
Masterclass students will receive tuition for three hours a day on average, on six days. Each teacher will devise his or her own teaching plan, so the courses may differ considerably from one instrument to another. For details of the teachers please email nina.lackman(at)lieksabrass.com

SEPTET AND ENSEMBLE COURSE (teaching in Finnish)
July 21-28, 2012
The septet and ensemble course will be devoted primarily to upholding the Finnish septet tradition – with fresh ideas.
You can enrol as a full septet, as part of one or as an individual brass player. Any missing septet or ensemble instruments will be recruited from individual students on the courses, to make up the full number.
You will be sent the course music for study in June, so please state on the application form what part you require. We have, for example, parts for tenor horn and euphonium, both in B flat (treble clef) and C (bass clef).
The septet and ensemble course will give a final concert at Lieksa Cultural Centre at 12 noon on Saturday July 28.
STUDENT CONCERTS
All students may, if they wish, take part in the Lieksa Brass Week student concerts to be held on Friday July 27. The number of concerts – one or two – will depend on how many players wish to take part. Please inform the organisers in advance if you wish to take part. The deadline for doing this is Tuesday July 24, which is also the deadline for supplying the music for the accompanying pianist.
STUDENT TICKETS
Tickets at concessionary student rates can be booked in advance using the order form obtainable from nina.lackman(at)lieksabrass.com. These tickets cannot be bought online. We will then invoice the tickets with the course fee. If the tickets have not been paid for by the given date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and put the tickets back on sale.
