Ronja Pehkonen

Ronja Pehkonen is a young accordion artist from Lieksa. She is the fifth generation in her family to choose the accordion as her main instrument. She graduated as a music pedagogue from the Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences in 2023. Ronja won the Golden Accordion in 2023, becoming the last winner of the competition, as it was decided to discontinue the event later that fall. Currently, Ronja is serving voluntary military service for women in the Conscript Band of the Finnish Defence Forces, in Parola.
