Welcome to the Lieksa Brass Week concerts! Tickets are on sale in the Lieksa Brass Week online store, which you can access by clicking on the “Buy tickets” link next to the concert or directly from the “Liput/Tickets” button at the top right of the page. Tickets can also be purchased from the festival office, which will open on July 13, 2026 on the 2nd floor of the Lieksa Cultural Centre. The program will be supplemented.

8 PM Golden Horn Brass: Anatolian Breeze
Founded in 2004 by Begüm Gökmen, Golden Horn Brass is Türkiye's first and longest-running brass quintet. The group says they have "woven their music like a golden cloth with the most delicate and crystalline tones." Golden Horn Brass knows both Piazzolla and Mozart, but the program also includes captivating Turkish music!

8 PM Request Concert: My Brass Piece
In addition to Suomi-seitsikko, four well-known people from Lieksa will take to the stage. Their requested songs have been arranged for the Suomi-seitsikko by Esko Heikkinen. Which of the songs belongs to whom? The concert will also feature immemorial songs requested by the audience, also arranged by Esko Heikkinen and wonderfully interpreted by Suomi-seitsikko. The concert will be hosted by Tiia Luoma.

7 PM The Final of the 5th Lieksa Brass Week International Trombone Competition
The Final Concert will feature the trombone competition finalists performing Leonard Bernstein's Elegy for Mippy II and Launy Grøndahl's Concerto for Trombone and Orchestra. The finalists will be accompanied by the Joensuu City Orchestra, conducted by József Hárs. Come and listen to the top talent of the competitors and get excited about who will emerge as the winner of the 5th International Lieksa Brass Week Trombone Competition.
