Development Project: “Stronger Lieksa Brass Week”

The Lieksa Brass Week development project will create four new operational models for Lieksa Brass Week, which will secure the financial future of the event and thereby maintain its internationally recognized artistic credibility. The new operational models include a model for fundraising and corporate cooperation, an efficient production model, a model for cooperation between tourism and restaurant operators and the event, as well as a model for marketing, media cooperation and visibility.

The project focuses on the activities of Lieksa Brass Week and, through it, on the companies in Lieksa and its surrounding area, on local residents interested in volunteer work, and, in a broader sense, on the potential participants of Lieksa Brass Week. The development of Lieksa Brass Week’s activities and securing its future will also benefit local actors and the local culture that has developed alongside Lieksa Brass Week.

The project has received EU rural funding from Vaara-Karjala Leader ry. The total budget of the project is 114 684,00 €, of which 36 985,59 € is EU-funding. The implementation period is 1.11.2025 - 31.12.2027.
