Golden Horn Brass

Founded in 2004 by Begüm Gökmen, Golden Horn Brass is Türkiye's first and longest-running brass quintet. The group says it has "woven its music like a golden cloth with the most delicate and crystalline tones". Golden Horn Brass is a master of Piazzola and Mozart, but the program also includes captivating Turkish music!

Golden Horn Brass was named "Chamber Music Ensemble of the Year" at the 5th Donizetti Classical Music Awards in 2014, organized by the Andante magazine.

The quintet has been a source of inspiration for many Turkish composers with commissioned works and arrangements. The group also promotes music education in Türkiye through its long-standing "educational concert" program, which aims to introduce and educate young people to music.
