Jussi Vuorinen

Jussi Vuorinen (b.1976) is a trombonist originally from Tampere. He started playing the trombone at the age of nine. As a young man, he played in several bands playing jazz, funk, reggae and other rhythm music, and performed in musical productions in Tampere theatres.

Since 2004, he has been the bass trombone player of the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra.

His work with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra has taken Vuorinen to perform in concert halls around the world, including China, the United States, Brazil, Argentina and on numerous European tours, with well-known soloists and conductors.

His music has been heard in commercials, YouTube videos and in the Finnish film Hyväveli (2022). He also appears on the soundtracks of several films, such as the film Sisu 2 released in 2025.
