Visa Haarala
Visa is a versatile musician who began his musical career playing the violin and later switched to the trumpet. Visa got his first exposure to classical orchestral music in the ranks of the Retuperä WBK and the Radio Symphony Orchestra, and today he is the principal trumpet of the Kymi Sinfonietta. At the Lieksa Brass Week, Visa plays the alto horn in the septet Suomi-seitsikko.
In addition to his orchestral work, Visa has performed the Finnish premiere of Kalevi Aho's Trumpet Concerto and has performed as a conductor and soloist on tours with the Australian Chamber Orchestra. Visa lived in Kiev, Moscow, São Paolo and Rio de Janeiro during his high school years, and Brazilian jazz in particular has remained close to her his since those years.
